New Construction Landscaping

Site Preparation
- Clear debris, trash, and construction materials
- Remove weeds and unwanted vegetation
- Perform rough grading (ensure proper drainage and slope)
- Identify and protect utilities and irrigation lines
- Mark all hardscape and planting areas
Soil Preparation
- Till and loosen compacted soil
- Final grading is complete with a proper slope away from structures
Irrigation System
- The irrigation plan was approved and marked
- Install mainlines, valves, and lateral lines
- Install drip/micro-spray systems and sprinklers
- Pressure test the irrigation system
- Install backflow preventer (if required)
- Program controller with proper zones and schedules
- Flush and test all zones
Hardscape Installation
- Layout and mark walkways, patios, and retaining walls
- Excavate and prepare the base material
- Install edging, pavers, stone, or concrete as needed

- Artificial turf installation
- Install sod tightly with staggered seams or seed evenly
Final Walkthrough
- Clean up all debris and excess materials
- Confirm all plants are installed and watered
- Ensure all systems (irrigation, lighting) are operational
- Review the checklist with the client or supervisor
